Graham & Lauren Munro
And what a wedding it was! On the weekend we have the pleasure of experiencing the Munro Wedding in the Hunter Valley. It was truly a beautiful day, we video logged our whole experience so you can watch that below but I have a few thoughts on the matter as well.
A few years ago, I was a single lady (cue Beyonce music), along with my best friends Louise & Oliver. We were all just having a blast, living our lives chasing after God. Over the course of a year, we added a few new friends to our group.. and by added I mean, they came to our church and blended in nicely. Graham came to church and we all thought he looked like Bruno Mars, John Kennedy (JFK) came along in a similar way (all the way from the states) and two girls joined as well; Jess and Mel. Louise was the first to find a man who came from outside the walls of our crew; Geremia the Italian soccer player, swept her off her feet and she set the standard for relationships and boys. I followed shortly after that with another outsider in my now husband Michael. Oli fell for Jess and Jess and Oli set up Mel and John. Graham met Lauren at a youth camp and caught up quickly. Over the years of people getting together, Louise got married first, I followed, then John & Mel, Jess and Oli and now Graham and Lauren got married this year. It is SO weird that we’re all married, it only feels like a few years ago we were all so young and SINGLE! There are obviously a few people who are not mentioned here who are still yet to get married and yet to find partners but this is a story about marriage.. so we’ll talk about them another day.
I found myself pondering at the wedding of G&L.. where will we all be in 5 or 10 years? No doubt we’ll still all be great friends, hopefully have kept in touch and of course the not yet marrieds will most likely be married and have kids too! What type of parents will we all be? In reality, it’s not that far away that our crew will have kids in the same few years and we’ll pursue this new season along side each other. It is so weird to me, watching the ebs and flows of life, the changes in people and the things that stay the same. The years seem to be going faster and suddenly I’m 25… I still feel 19 most days! I am so grateful to have long term friends and new ones too who make life so beautiful.
Speaking of beautiful, here’s a few photos and a video from the weekend – enjoy!
Until next week
Lots of love
